Adjo Amouzou is a global program and project management professional, social entrepreneur, international development practitioner, and doctoral candidate whose career has focused on strengthening organizations, developing strategic initiatives, and building partnerships across government, business, civil society, and international communities.

Her professional career includes work with programs and initiatives associated with the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and other U.S. government, international, nonprofit, and private-sector organizations, supporting efforts related to civil society, education, health, democratic practices, international development, and institutional strengthening in transitional and post-conflict environments, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Amouzou has supported organizations and initiatives addressing African and African American issues, social justice, human rights, sustainable economic development, democracy, education, health systems strengthening, international peace and conflict resolution, and women's and gender rights.
Her professional experience includes work with organizations such as Abt Associates, AfroBarometer, Allegheny Science & Technology, Cartwright & Athias, LLC, Charles Schwab Washington Research Group, Corporate Council on Africa, GDIT, IIE, IMF, Laureate, Louis Berger, Mahone Law, MAXIMUS, MedImmune (now AstraZeneca), NED, and others.
Mrs. Amouzou has also contributed to the development of emerging businesses and organizations, including ADC and ASC, working alongside the late Marion Duke Greene, an accomplished entrepreneur and founder of IBS, Inc.
Her experiences with business leaders, government officials, international organizations, and community stakeholders have contributed to her understanding of entrepreneurship, organizational development, strategic management, and the importance of creating opportunities within underserved communities.
She is a former Commissioner and member of the National African American Reparations Commission (NAARC), where she served alongside professionals from diverse backgrounds engaged in addressing historical and contemporary issues concerning justice, reparative justice, and the African American community in the United States.
Her international work has provided opportunities to engage directly with senior government and international leaders. Her professional experiences have included working alongside Gilbert F. Houngbo of Togo, now Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO), and supporting high-level international engagements involving African government delegations and multilateral institutions.
During the Ebola crisis, she managed logistics associated with former Guinean President Alpha Condé's delegation to the World Bank while supporting her client, the Piccini Group.
Across these experiences, Mrs. Amouzou has developed a strong track record of building relationships with leaders and stakeholders in government, business, civil society, international development, and community organizations.
Mrs. Amouzou is currently pursuing a PhD in Criminal Justice with a focus on Global Leadership, with a specialization in Juvenile Justice. Her doctoral work reflects her continued interest in justice systems, leadership, organizational change, and the experiences of youth within the juvenile justice system.
She received her Master of Arts in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University's School of International Service, with a focus on international development, and earned her Bachelor's degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, where she was a member of Phi Sigma Theta.
She is fluent in French and Ewe and has professional training and certifications in conflict prevention and peacebuilding, Agile project management, and SAFe practices.
Through RiseTogoFly (RTGF), Mrs. Amouzou brings together her experiences in global program management, international development, entrepreneurship, leadership, education, and community engagement to create opportunities for women, girls, and justice-involved youth and women.
